The Strymon Riverside is a versatile multistage drive pedal that combines an analog Class A JFET input stage with advanced SHARC DSP processing to deliver a wide range of harmonically rich overdrive and distortion tones. Its cascading gain stages and continuously variable circuit tuning provide seamless transitions from clean boosts to saturated distortion. The pedal features a 3-band EQ, presence switch, and selectable mid-boost for precise tone shaping, along with a built-in noise reduction circuit. Additional functionalities include a Favorite footswitch for preset recall, expression pedal control, and compatibility with external boost switches, making the Riverside a powerful and flexible tool for both live and studio applications.​
